Privacy Policy

Deuce
Deuce is designed to keep your tennis information on your devices. It does not require an account, use third-party advertising or analytics services, track you across other apps or websites, or sell personal information.

Information stored by Deuce

Depending on the app version and the features you choose to use, Deuce may store:

This information is stored locally on your iPhone or Apple Watch. Deuce does not create an online account for you, and the developer cannot access information stored only on your devices.

Profile photos

If you choose a profile photo using Apple’s photo picker, Deuce receives only the image you select. The photo is stored locally with your profile. Deuce does not scan your photo library.

In a version that supports Shared Match, your selected profile photo may be shared temporarily with the other participant so they can identify who they are connected to.

iPhone and Apple Watch syncing

Match information may be transferred between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch so that a match can be displayed, scored, recovered after a temporary disconnection and saved to Game History. This transfer uses Apple-provided device communication services.

Health and workout information

If you enable workout features, Deuce may request permission to create and manage Tennis workouts in Apple Health. During a workout, Apple Watch may process information such as heart rate, active energy, total energy, workout duration and a short court-location route.

Health and workout information is stored in Apple Health and remains under your control. Deuce does not upload this information to the developer, use it for advertising or analytics, sell it, or share it with other players.

You can choose whether workouts start automatically and can review or revoke Deuce’s Health access at any time in the Health app or system Settings.

Shared Match in supported versions

Some beta or future versions of Deuce may provide Shared Match. When enabled, Shared Match exchanges the information needed to run the match, which may include display names, optional profile photos, colours, match settings, live scores and technical connection messages.

Shared Match may use nearby peer-to-peer communication or an internet relay to maintain the connection between participating devices. Information handled by the relay is used only to operate and recover the active match. It is not used for advertising, analytics or user profiling, and it is not sold.

Other players receive only the profile and match information required for the Shared Match. Health and workout information is not shared with other players.

Permissions

Deuce may ask for permission only when required by a feature you choose to use:

You can review or change permissions in system Settings.

Optional support purchases

Deuce may offer optional consumable purchases that support its continued development. Apple processes these purchases through the App Store and StoreKit. The developer does not receive your full payment-card or bank details. Support purchases do not unlock, restrict or alter match features.

Diagnostic and support reports

If you choose to copy or send a Diagnostic Report, Deuce prepares diagnostic text for you. It is not sent automatically. You can review, edit, delete or cancel it before sharing.

A report may contain the Deuce version and build number, device and operating-system information, StoreKit availability, Apple Watch delivery events, Shared Match connection diagnostics and any message you add. It does not automatically include your complete Game History, Health data or workout information.

If you deliberately send a report by email or another service, that service is governed by its own privacy policy. Any report and email address received by the developer may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate the issue and maintain appropriate support records. You can request deletion using the contact address below.

Sharing match results

When you choose to share a match result, Apple presents the system share sheet. Deuce shares only the content you deliberately select with the service or person you choose. The receiving service is governed by its own privacy policy.

Apple services

Apple may process information when you download Deuce, make an in-app purchase, use Apple Health, communicate with Apple Watch or use other Apple system services. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. Deuce does not receive your full payment information.

Advertising, analytics and tracking

Deuce does not include third-party advertising or analytics services and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. The developer does not sell personal information.

Deleting your information

You can delete individual matches or clear Game History within Deuce. Clearing Game History may also remove associated statistics and recent Shared Match players. Profile information can be edited or removed within the app. Deleting Deuce from your devices removes locally stored app information, subject to Apple’s device backup behaviour.

Health and workout information is controlled separately through Apple Health. Deleting Deuce does not necessarily delete workouts already saved in Apple Health.

To request deletion of information you deliberately sent to the developer in a support message, contact us using the address below.

Children’s privacy

Deuce is a family-friendly, general-purpose sports utility. It does not require an account and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a developer-operated account or analytics service. A parent or guardian can contact us with any privacy concern.

Website hosting

This privacy page is hosted using GitHub Pages. GitHub may process limited technical information, such as IP addresses and request logs, when you visit this webpage. That processing is governed by GitHub’s own privacy statement.
